Moments Captured By Eva Torresan Blog bio picture

This is a little about me...

I always get asked what got me into photography.  Well it has always been an interest and it became more of an obsession when I had my first child.  With a few too many losses in my life I recognize how important something as simple as a moment captured in a photograph can be.  A photograph that can really catch a persons true expression is one that can bring back a memory so vivid that you can hear their laugh or remember a part of their personality.  These qualities can sometimes fade with time.  Then a few years ago on mothers day I realized that some of us seem to always be behind the camera and get left out of  the photograph.  It is just as important for our loved ones to have memories of us as well.  I decided that this passion of photography could grow and I could photograph those families that are always short a person, the one behind the camera.  I absolutely love this part of my life.  It is fun, challenging and so rewarding.  I have had the chance to meet so many great people and be a part of the special memories in their life.  I fully appreciate how precious and important this job is and what an honor it is to be a part of their photographs.

I commit myself only to a select number of events throughout the year so that life is balanced and I am able to offer dedicated attention to my clients as well as my family.  Thank you for taking the the time to get to know a little about me.  I hope you will get in touch so we can talk more about your family events and how we can work together to turn your photo-stories into art.

I would love to chat and get to know about what type of photo session you are wanting to book...

Charlotte Born Fabulous sneak peek | Newborn Photographer | Sault Ste Marie

Lil baby Charlotte was absolutely precious in my studio today.

She slept like a dream and I am still trying to remember if I even heard her cry at all.

She is so beautiful!

Here is a sneak peek for now…

P.s.  This amazing blanket was found at Benjamin Moore in SSM.  And of course the basket at Pileria’s in SSM.

Angel & Danny | Wedding Photographer Sault Ste. Marie

Angel and Danny are the cutest couple.  Angel laughs at everything Danny does or says and rightfully so he is a pretty funny guy.  The two of them have some magic and I think their beautiful little daughter Isabella might be a large part of that.  Danny happens to be a cousin of mine through marriage and now Angel is as well (I know I probably didn’t have to spell that out for you).  There were some special moments with Angel and her daughter Isabella while they were getting ready.  Watching Angel and her mother spend time together while getting ready and then the natural transition of Angel getting Isabella ready in the same room – too sweet.  The ceremony was an event of close to royalty.  What were there guys…50 standing?  They have many special friends and family in their lives and many of them were there to support them.  Including many nieces and nephews.  It was a beautiful day and a rockin party.  The DJ really knew how to throw a party!!  Since their wedding I spent some more time with them in the fall for a family lifestyle session.  They are now expecting another lil babe and I can’t wait to meet little (him/her)….

Andrea & Jordan | Wedding Photographer Sault Ste Marie

Ok I know what you are thinking…Didn’t Andrea & Jordan get married awhile ago?  Yes but when things are crazy busy sometimes something has to get left for last.  Of course I don’t mean the amazing couple below!!   This year it happened to be my blog (and my social life).  My goal over the next two weeks is to update this…hopefully it won’t crash on me lol.  I have learned a lot over the past couple of years in this business.  My goals always change and I always learn from everything I do.  So this year sneak peeks will be done closer to the date of the session instead of closer to the date of receiving your final DVD.  As well I realize how much my clients love sharing their photos on this site with family and friends so I will add them once they have had a day to check out their photos.

So now that I have explained my little dilemma of neglectful blogging let’s get to the real reason we are having this little chat (confession):

Andrea & Jordan

Andrea & Jordan had a perfect little spot for their wedding ceremony.  Overlooking the water, I felt right at home.  Unfortunately it was a little rainy but I love that it added a different feel to the photos.  I had spent the morning taking photos of both of them in town first and then we headed to the ceremony.  After the ceremony we went to the Grand Gardens for the reception.  The whole day was relaxed and full of love.  Thanks for an awesome day guys:)

Tianna & Anthony | Wedding | A Love Story Sneak Peek

A Beautiful girl + A Handsome guy

Married in a grand church

Surrounded by family and friends

Loved…Blessed…Forever

A perfect wedding

This is just a sneak peek of random photos that I had put together for Tianna and Anthony so that they could share them with family from out of town.

Karen & Garret | Maternity Shoot

Karen and Garret are a couple of our best friends.  They wanted to have two maternity sessions.  One to be more of a lifestyle shoot for both of them and then a more intimate studio shoot with Karen.  For the Lifestyle session we went to Mockingbird Hill Farm.  We were the only ones there, along with the animals of course right Garret!!  Karen has such a perfectly tiny belly that for so many of the shots it didn’t even look like she was pregnant. For their second shoot I met up with Karen at their house and we used the nursery.  They liked when I mentioned that it would include Ava and her baby items into the photos.  I think this gave the shoot such a personal and almost emotional touch.  It was where their angel would be sleeping in just a few weeks and it seemed to include her little personality in each photo.  I love her already guys!!

Maxine & Serge | Wedding

Max and Serge had a destination wedding and then came home to have a second reception.  By reception I should say that it was filled with people, love, amazing decorations, happiness and party party party!!  The receptions started off with a video of their recent ceremony and it looked as though it brought back a flood of emotion for Max and Serge.  The speeches were filled with laughter and tears.  A musician and dancers were part of the entertainment they started the party!!  Great party and even more amazing couple!!  Congrats and I was honored:)

Tianna & Anthony | Engagement Session

Tianna & Anthony drove from Ottawa for both the bridal shower as well as the stag.  The stag was the night before the shoot and I think Anthony was a champ as I am sure it must have been a late night.  They loved the idea of going to the Sault Locks since Anthony is an architect and thought it would be an interesting place.  I love some of the architectural work him and his partner have worked on.  It is amazing!!  Anyway for their engagement shoot we climbed up onto train track sand challenged a fear of heights, not once but twice.  Way to go Tianna lol.  It is obvious that Tianna and Anthony are not only a great couple but awesome friends as well.  Your wedding will be filled with love I can tell (because I have already shot it and am blogging this a little late lol).

Boyer | Family

This family came by to get photos of their girls birthday.  She was adorable in her little petti-dress.  She definitely loved her brothers as well as the puppet show her parents put on for her near the end of the shoot.

Farrell | Newborn

How CUTE is this little peanut??!!  He is perfect.  Perfect hair, skin and aim…that is right, both mom and dad got hit when his diaper came off lol.  Usually it is babe that gets the most outfit changes but this time it was Kayla & Lonnie.  This little guy was so curious with all that was going on with the shoot that he did not want to sleep and when he did he still kept one eye just a little open in case he missed something.  Congrats, he is amazing!!
